The Chesapeake Police force Department began the CALEA accreditation process in 2011 and received our initial accreditation in 2014. Since then, we have maintained our accreditation condition with continuing reviews, evaluations and assessments from CALEA.
The CALEA Accreditation programme provides public safe agencies an opportunity to voluntarily demonstrate that they accept met an established set of professional standards based on industry all-time practices and approved by an all-volunteer board of commissioners.
